One of discoveries that local chamber administrators make is that there it can be difficult to make contact with other chambers and local business organisations. While in some states (Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia) there are links to the state body of varying degrees of formality, there is no central register of local chambers in Australia.

In researching the prevalence of local chambers I compiled details of over 600 organisation representing business at a local level.
